Join us as we celebrate the day the “sun stands still.”
The Winter Solstice marks the longest night and the shortest day of the year. Celebrated for thousands of years as a moment of transition and renewal among people on every continent, here in Northeastern Ohio days grow shorter and temperatures cooler. But even as we become accustomed to more hours of darkness, we also know that at the moment of the solstice, we can expect the return of expanded light.
Using quiet contemplation, simple movement and music of the season, we’ll explore the special moments that transcend expectation and inspire us even in the darkest corners of our lives. We will create an event together that illuminates our shared time on this Earth.
