Open your heart. Still your mind.

Based on devotional chanting known in northern India as kirtan and in southern India as bhajan, Enchanted Hearts will lead us in a simple form of call and response. Through this repetitive musical prayer, the mind is cleared of worry, doubt, fear and all limiting concepts. The joy of peace and infinite love is given to the practitioner, and transmitted through the world by sound vibration. This is the practice of bhakti yoga or the yoga of devotion.

People often experience great joy and even ecstasy as the chants increase in tempo and intensity. The energy in the room builds, which is why it’s so powerful to chant in a group. Kirtan is for anyone, regardless of religious belief or quality of voice. Any voice is perfect for kirtan as the focus is about opening the heart!

Please Note: We will have chairs set up for seating; however, many people prefer to sit on floor cushions or backjacks. Having a straight spine is helpful as the sound vibrations roll up and down the energy centers (chakras) of the body, but above all we want you to feel comfortable. Please bring whatever you need for comfort or support.
